Make your way to NOWHERE END #13

It’s on Saturday night, get together at J Bar & Cafe for music delight. Filled up with world music from Bangkok and rock music from Tokyo.

Yui-Saowakhon Muangkruan is a cellist based in Nakhonpathom, Thailand. She is known as someone who tells her story through her instrument. The Yui Cello phenomenon, as she explains, takes inspiration from society matters, other’s life experiences and her life. The text she composes unfolds like poetry while she cajoles her instrument with decisive strikes and loops, bringing out the multi-layered lyricism. Yui was invited to present her ideas at TEDx 2014 in Chiang Mai and participated in the Y2K14 International Looping Festival in Bangkok,Asian Meeting Festival 2015 in Japan, FEN 2015 in Singapore. She also regularly appears on Thai television to present her work.

Mana Hardcore (Tokyo)
At the ripe age of seventeen she already been writing original songs for a year and was ready to conquer the guitar, a bold feat which only increased in momentum with the acquisition of her signature Takamine guitar which she continues to perform with today. Appearing in print in the Japanese edition of Rolling Stone magazine, amongst other publications, on radio, in film and TV, Mana travelled to Brighton to record the single “Remember13” with renowned producers Andy Hayman and Tim Ellis in 2010. The single was released on iTunes as MANA… so arrived the birth of Mana Hardcore. In December 2014, Mana Hardcore was selected by Music Connection Magazine for HOT 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands. Matured and refined, Mana Hardcore is a well-celebrated fixture on Tokyo’s thriving live music scene. Delivering vocally distinct rock-ridden ballads and modeling on a regular basis, Mana Hardcore is an unmissable, musical tour de force!
