Nite for Rights - Asia Centre's Second Anniversary
Asia Centre -
Calling all human rights activists, advocates and allies!
“Nite for Rights!” will be a celebration of human rights advocacy and activism in the region on the occasion of Asia Centre’s 2nd anniversary. The evening will see the Centre creating a platform for sharing and discussion into the critical human rights issues impacting the region as well as strategies for effective engagement.
We will kick off the evening's open mic by sharing insights from our Human Rights Programme, which takes an evidence based approach to examining the three key mechanisms that hold the potential to enhance human rights protection in the region; National Human Rights Institutions, the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights and the Universal Periodic Review.
We are inviting activists, members of civil society and international organisations as well as academia, researchers and students interested in human rights to join in the discussion. You can sign up to share issues and advocacy strategies that your work or organisation is focusing on as well as your research findings.
Entry is by donation, the suggested donation is 150B. Light refreshments will be provided.
