JFCCT Forum 2016

Objectives

To air JFCCT Policy and policy recommendations on three areas of over-arching importance. The overall theme is ‘SERVICES!’ very broadly defined.

Style

Combination of TEDx + (softer) Hard Talk, as developed as the ‘Moderated Topic Session’ in three prior JFCCT conferences.

Each of approximately 3 presenters in each Topic Session has up to ten minutes to present the key issues via short presentation. This is a deliberately focused approach. (Audiences often remember little from long presentations). Speakers then join a Moderator on a platform. The Moderator then covers the issues with the Speakers in a 15 minute punchy dialogue with probing questions. Each Session is approx 50 minutes with three on platform, or 40 minutes with two. (We do not use the term ‘panel’.) Time keeping is important.

The three topics are based on long-standing JFCCT policy areas and some more recently developed policy in line with long term policy.

For each session, the Speakers are from the private sector or industry or economic organisations, or economic think tanks.

Audience / Participants

Government, business community, business organisations.
