DocTalk9 : Gleason
Documentary Club in collaboration with Bangkok Art and Culture Center presents 'Gleason' an American documentary film released in 2016, covering five years in the life of the former New Orleans Saints football defensive back, Steve Gleason, who suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a rare incurable autoimmune condition associated with the former New York Yankees baseball star, Lou Gehrig, who died from the disease in 1941.
At the age of 34, Steve Gleason was diagnosed with ALS. Doctors gave the former NFL defensive back and New Orleans hero two to five years to live. So that is what Steve chose to do – LIVE: with purpose, for his newborn son, for his wife, and to help others with his disease.
