------ EXHIBITION & FILM RETROSPECTIVE --
The exhibition “120 ans de cinéma : Gaumont, depuis que le cinéma existe” (120 years of cinema: Gaumont, since film exists) takes the visitor on a journey into cinema history through artifacts from the Musée Gaumont museum ranging from film clips to posters.
This famed French movie production, distribution and marketing company celebrated in 2015 its 120th anniversary, years that were marked by inventions along with industrial, commercial and artistic achievements. Behind the name of Gaumont stand numerous filmmakers who turned movies into an art form: Louis Feuillade, Jean Vigo, Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman, Andrzej Wajda, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Maurice Pialat, Jean-Luc Godard, Luc Besson, Mathieu Kassovitz, Jean-Jacques Beineix and many more.
