Bloco Malagasy in Concert
Alliance Francaise Bangkok -
To mark the International Francophonie Day, Alliance Française Bangkok and the Consulate of Madagascar invite you to dance to the beat of Madagascan percussion played by Bloco Malagasy on tour in Asia. On the program: conviviality, dance, arts and crafts, food and drinks!
This free-admission evening will be a wonderful opportunity to eat and drink in the gardens of Alliance Française and enjoy a special night outdoor while exploring Madagascan traditional arts and crafts to the lively tunes of Bloco Malagasy.
The band consists of 25 percussionists who blend Madagascan and Brazilian rhythms. Those young women who come from disadvantaged parts of Southern Madagascar have been touring Southeast Asia since Feb. 18.
The Coconut Water Foundation, which is organizing the tour, aims to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged people, and especially women and children, in Cambodia by focusing on education.
