China and India are the two largest populated countries and it’s no wonder why we love their cuisines. Now imagine combining the two and we’ve got a cuisine to die for. If you haven’t tried Indian-Chinese food yet, then you are certainly missing out on some of the most flavorful, mouth-watering dishes.
So where can you enjoy such a cuisine in Bangkok? Tucked away on Asoke Road (next to the Rutnin Eye Hospital) lies Dragon Xpress, that not only serves Indian-Chinese food (in an American style) but also a great selection of Shishas and cocktails while entertaining you with mixed tunes and sporting events.
It’s a lot more than just a restaurant
The restaurant and bar can be found by its distinctive giant red dragon logo and its outdoor seating area. If that doesn’t suit you, there is an indoor seating as well that is dimly lit, setting a fitting atmosphere for the red and black furniture. On weekends, you’ll even find a DJ mixing up some Bollwood, hip-hop and house music.
The Dragon Xpress Bar
The food here is outstanding, serving up a large variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that can be enjoyed either at the restaurant or as takeout (yes just like the ones in America).
Some must-try dishes are: Honey Pepper Cottage Cheese (129 Baht), Chili Garlic chowmein (109 Baht), Kung Pao Chicken (129 Baht), Vegetable Manchurian (119 Baht) and variety of Momos (109 Baht).
Cocktails range from 180 Baht to 250 Baht, special bucket go up to 350 Baht and Shishas at 390 Baht.
What I love most about this place is that there is always something going on. From daily promotions to special events such as Songkran, full Moon and foam parties – Dragon constantly seems to entertain its guests. So whether you are in the mood for yummy takeout or some drinks and Shisha with friends or even a crazy party night, Dragon Xpress is the place to go.
Be sure to follow them on Facebook to keep updated about their latest events and promotions.
