I Didn’t Launch A Thousand Ships - 5 September
A solo performance by Sasapin Siriwanij and inspired by Doctor Faustus' famous line "Was this the face that launched a thousand ships?." The performance is movement-based so there is very little spoken language. This is the opening performance, shows start at 8pm and are on Mon, Tues, Fri-Sunday - the last show is on the 23 September.
The Artist Ensemble of Bangkok - 6 September
'The Artist Ensemble of Bangkok' was formed by members of Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.
Enjoy music from two renowned Thai violinists, Pissot Saay Op Oua and Miti Wisuthumporn. The performance begins at 5pm at the Siam Ratchada Auditorium and the program includes Mozart: String Quintet No.4 in G minor K.516, M.L. Usni Pramoj: String Quintet No.1 in E minor, Beethoven: String Quartet No.9 Op.59 no.3 and "Razumovsky No.3".
City of Dance - 6 and 7 September
Enjoy six dance pieces by the Bangkok City Ballet at the Thailand Cultural Centre from 5pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Dances styles include classical ballet, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop. Plus there is a 10am workshop the next day on Sunday
Phatfunk feat.Retraflex - 5 September
This month PHATFUNK invites one half of the DJ/Production duo Retraflex who run the versatile Drum & Bass label Flexout Audio which recently celebrated 5 years of #DnB events in London. Their label has acted as a stepping stone for many artists such as Hyroglifics, Philth, Chromatic and Dramatic & dbAudio. From 10pm at Glow, tickets are 300 B.
Saturday Surf and Sound - 6 September
“Saturday Surf and Sound : One Saturday with ‘ETC. & PP PROJECT’ with Volkswagen meeting” from 4PM – midnight at Flow House Bangkok, home to Bangkok’s only true Beach Club featuring the FlowRider surf, great music, cool drinks, yummy comfort food and a loads of games and activities.
500px Global Photo Walk - 6 September
500px is organizing a second annual Global Photo Walk in as many different cities as possible. Join fellow photographers in a free photo walk around Bangkok, exploring new hidden spots. Meet at 13:00 at Bang Wa BTS Station between exits 3 & 4.
