A nostalgic nod to “test shoots” he did as a novice photographer collaborating with fledgling stylists, hair and makeup artists to develop their portfolios, Benya Hegenbarth’s new solo exhibition tells a story of youthful love, rebellion, and camaraderie. 

Conceived for and shot at Quince, “Winter Blossoms”, is the artist’s translation of youth’s entwinement into fashion images as a record of the contemporary zeitgeist.

"Winter Blossoms" is a collaboration with fashion stylist: Telm Daneenart Burakasikorn, makeup artist: Alongkorn Soontornpot, hair stylist: Pornpun Charncholsamut and photographer: Benya Hegenbarth. 

The exhibition will be on view from December 15 through January 31, 2017.

About Benya Hegenbarth:

First inspired by a collection of photography books and prints belonging to his boarding school housemaster, German-Thai photographer Benya Hegenbarth took to the medium at a young age and has been shooting ever since. Though based mostly in Bangkok, he often travels and works internationally for both personal and commercial endeavors. His are soft, soulful portraits and pictures, celebrating passion, vulnerability and youthful spirits in their most natural and candid state. Benya’s editorial images have been frequently featured in such titles as Vogue Japan, Australia and Schön! Magazine (UK) as well as local editions of Elle, Elle Men, Marie Claire, Numero, and Wallpaper in Thailand.
