Innovative photography exhibition The Beauty of Peace by French Photographer Daniel Cordonnier is set to awe Bangkok’s art scene. Curated by Eliseo Barbara, the rich series explores Buddhist practice in Asia. From the windswept Tibetan prayer flags, to the bright devotions of Boudhanath in Nepal.
The style adopted by Daniel Cordonnier is the ‘Multiple Exposure’, which he has named “shooting star” - influenced by Impressionism and Surrealist art. The result is one powerful image that is a combination of two different subjects in their lighting intensity and point of view.
“My eyes see beyond their usual periphery and I hope for my photographs to become prayers granted by the wind.”
I discovered the meaning of dying with fear in your stomach. It was like a rebirth, I assimilated photography so I could capture this invisible energy.
Each shot is meditation for me, a plunge into the abyss of my soul.
I love the raw feeling of the nighttime when I shoot…Darkness can be beautiful.
