The 4th Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exhibition
To celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 2 April 2015 and on the Occasion of celebrating 72nd Anniversary of Silpakorn University

Silpakorn University was established since 1943 by Professor Silpa Bhirasri (Professor Corrado Feroci), an Italian artist and sculptor who dedicated his whole life to the development of modern art in Thailand. For pursuing the Thai art scene’s rise to the international standards and promoting the interactions and exchanges of diverse and dynamic artistic and cultural perspectives among people in all countries, Silpakorn University subsequently has initiated and operated the first international print and drawing exhibition in Thailand since 2003. The first international print and drawing exhibition obtained a great success and received a high attention and strong feedbacks from a large numbers of the artists and interested public that was also widely recognized as a remarkable starting for the international print and drawing contest held in Thailand and Southeast Asia. 
 
In pursuing our strong initiative to demonstrate a higher potentiality of modern art circle in Thailand to be able to compete with the international standard and can be developed progressively, Silpakorn University has continually proceeded the 2nd Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exhibition between 2008 to 2010 in celebration of 65th Anniversary of Silpakorn University which was later scheduled to be held in every three year. From 2011 to 2013, the 3rd Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exhibition was held  consecutively, as our sharing part and strong contribution to celebrate on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2011 and cherished as his well- recognition as “The Supreme Artist of Siam”.
 
In 2014, as our sharing part to celebrate on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 2 April 2015 and on the Occasion of celebrating 72nd Anniversary of Silpakorn University, as well as to welcome our becoming united ASEAN in 2015, Silpakorn University, in cooperation with Bangkok  (BACC) and Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture  are proudly to organize and welcome all artists around the world to share and contribute with us again in the 4th Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exhibition between the year 2014 – 2016 in celebration of this memorable occasion. We had the opportunity to welcome  940 artists from 56 countries around the world, with their 2,315 pieces of works participated in the initial selection, and there were 149 selected works  as the finalists in the final selection that finally we had 24 top award- winning works and 125 finalist works on the exhibition categorized in print totally 94 pieces of works and drawing totally 55 pieces of works.      

 On this opportunity, Silpakorn University will  organize the academic activity during the exhibition about the technical workshop of printmaking in Etching and Monoprint including Styrofoam Relief Printmaking processes demonstrated by the students from Department of Graphic Arts,  Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University. The workshop will be organized on Fridays and Saturdays at  2.00 – 5.00 p.m. from  22nd  May -  31st July  2015 at the Exhibition Hall, 8th Floor of (BACC)
