Speak Spell: A Sonic Arts Exhibition By Tommy Hanson
Speak Spell is a series of spatial audio installations by sonic artist Tommy Hanson. In this presentation of the Speak Spell series the Yant symbols of Thailand are interpreted as modern speaker diagrams and sonified through spatial audio techniques.
As our culture continues to cross the digital divide, Speak Spell seeks to bring ancient wisdom to the future generations and inform us of the enriching potential of sound: beyond music, beyond entertainment, beyond consumerism.
The event will run for three days at the end of July 2017. Anyone interested in the potential of sound, sonic art, magic, and the wisdom of the ancient world is encouraged to visit.
