Please Do Not Leave Me
Silpakorn University Gallery -
You are cordially invited to exhibition of "Please do not leave me" by Amrit Chusuwan.
Amrit Chusuwan, an established artist whose works have been exhibited and known internationally. Although at the age that has reached the “breaking” period of a (bureaucratic) working person, Amrit chose to walk across the border of art to the new way of journey. It is a new perspective on the world based on truth, real life and real art that are connected to life and fundamental of the society.
Regularly, his works encompass the interpretation of Buddhist teachings, life philosophy, as well as contemporary social issues and presented through the use of new media including videos, readymades or even involving the audiences to the works. Those media are not the representation of up-to-date interest, but are appropriate tools to convey his idea by significantly involving audiences as "a part" of the works, not "apart" from the works.
Works exhibiting in this exhibition is a consideration of oneself, identity, and environmental context of progressing in art that has long been implemented throughout Amrit’s life. Previous experiences in art combined with present thoughts, intermingled, and lead to a new thing with a crisis in the new status and the new role of a human who is about to reach the age of 61.
