BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY presents 'PAINTING WITH HISTORY IN A ROOM FILLED WITH PEOPLE WITH FUNNY NAMES 3' by Korakrit Arunanondchai

The exhibition acts as a video premier to his fourth film, an epilogue to the previous three films made by the artist during 2011 - 2015. Along with the film, the exhibition will feature site-specific installations of evolving artworks since its conception back in 2011.

To inaugurate the exhibition, on Sunday April 3, 2016 Korakrit Arunanondchai will present film screening and live performance, 'TOGETHER IN A ROOM FILLED WITH PEOPLE WITH FUNNY NAMES' featuring his frequent collaborator Boychild, light design by Alex Gvojic and music by Harry Bornstein with an opening act by Yellow Fang at BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY. It will also be the first time that he will perform the show in Bangkok, Thailand. This performance is made possible with special supports from Disaphol Chansiri, Michael Tay and Akapol Sudasna.

Korakrit Arunanondchai’s 'PAINTING IN A ROOM FILLED WITH PEOPLE WITH FUNNY NAMES 3' exhibition will be held at BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY (Sathorn Soi 1 - Lumpini MRT station) from April 3 to June 5, 2016. Open Wednesday to Sunday 14:00 - 20:00 hrs. 

In concordance with the exhibition at BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY, the Jim Thompson Art Center will present a trilogy videos in an exhibition 2012-2555, 2556, 2557 starting from April 1 to September 10, 2016.
