Apart from the BRANDNEW Art Project, Bangkok University Gallery {BUG} proudly presents our two remarkable annual programs; 'Emerging Thai Artist' and 'Asian Artist in Residency Program' curated by our renowned curator, Ark Fongsmut, which submitted a discourse of transnational context between the unique cultures. The projects are intended to encourage a vivid contemporary art scene in the country and to disseminate the knowledge of a spatial-temporal concept in contemporary art.

This year, the 'Emerging Thai Artist' invites Miti Ruangkritya to explore a contextual of changing in developing countries through contemporary art photography as the artist wanders and captures the environments of 'Siem Reap', Cambodia, where the state of civilization is being driven within the consequences of assimilation and effects on dependencies. The atmosphere of chaos and remains is similarly being observed from the eye of the beholder. Moreover, a Malaysian artist, Roslisham Ismail aka ISE is now selected in the ‘Asian Artist in Residency Program’, which aims for learning, spreading and exchanging the knowledge of contemporary art and culture of each countries in Asia within 44 days (from March 15 - April 28, 2014) to eventually display the art exhibition from the period of the residency's program.

These two art programs; 'Emerging Thai Artist' and 'Artist in Residence Program' will be concurrently showing the art exhibitions at Bangkok University Gallery {BUG} - City Campus from April 26 - May 24, 2014 and the opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 18.00 hrs onwards. The Exhibition Talk will be on the same day from 15.00 – 17.00 hrs.
