"Khmer Twilight"

For digital artist and photographer, Christian Hogue, the ancient Khmer Kingdom exists in a twilight between reality and the spirit world—its soul draped in funeral raiment. 

Following the trauma of the Khmer Rouge and the ensuing Communism, Cambodia now seems to be emerging from a very dark chapter into the modern world. A world in which globalisation, consumerism, capitalism are strident new themes. 

In "Khmer Twilight", Christian asks if the Kingdom’s current transformation one of awakening, or the final descent of night.
