Pareidolia (/pærᵻˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-doh-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus (an image or a sound) wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something where none actually exists. 

Calligrapher Stones, commonly known as ‘Dream Stones’ often depict scenes of mountain-scapes and forests within the natural matrix of the stone. 

Using film photography and paint, this series by Thai-Japanese artist Luke Satoru is part of an ongoing project exploring visual possibilities for the viewer to interpret.

Luke is an artist and owner of the tattoo studio Black Pig Tattoo BKK.
