Still On Our Minds ในดวงใจนิรันดร์

Silpakorn University and Live Loop Asia commemorate the life of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This 2 day event will feature projection mapping, live-looping music, digital sound installations and performative dance paying homage to the late King through an illustrated exploration of his contributions to our world.

Silpakorn University honors the life of HM King Bhumibol with installation pieces from the members of Silpakorn Sonic Arts Interdisciplinary Masters Program, presentations from experts commenting on HM King Bhumiphol's contributions to Urbanism, Architecture, Engineering, Music, Art and Culture as well as jazz performances of the King's compositions by Silpakorn Jazz musicians.

- 4 Speakers sharing the King’s contributions to Architecture, Engineering, Art, and Music

- Sonic Art installations dedicated to HM King Bhumibol

- Jazz performances of the King’s songs by Silpakorn jazz musicians.

- Live looping artists demonstrating the applications of audio technology to real-time composition/improvisations.

Live Loop Asia brings to the event 11 local musicians and 4 visiting international musicians who will share their take on live looping music. Live looping music is created using live looping concepts, methods and technology – equipment that records and plays back sound, to which other sounds can be added, overlaid, deleted, filtered and mixed to form an improvisational work on the spot and using no pre-recorded material. The technique will be applied across all genres. Performances will feature original music and unique live-loop interpretations of the King’s songs.

Local Performers:
