An annual event in Thailand, National Children’s Day (“Wan Dek”) is celebrated on the second Saturday in January. If you're going on a family trip to Bangkok, this is the time to take your children to visit monuments that are usually closed to the public. You can step inside the Grand Palace, the Ministry of Defense or the seat of the Thai government. Zoos, amusement parks and many other tourist and leisure sites usually ofter free entry for children on this day.Many stores organize activities for children and banks distribute small gifts.
