King's Day Bangkok 2016
Embassy of the Netherlands in Thailand -
The Dutch nation traditionally celebrates the birthday of His Majesty The King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexande.
King's Day is a public holiday in the Netherlands. The Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok cannot let this day go by unnoticed. To mark this occasion, on Saturday 30 April 2016, the Embassy will host an event on the premises of the Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence in Bangkok to celebrate the birthday of Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands. Members of the Dutch community in Thailand and the general Thai public are invited to attend this special event.
In the evening from 5 pm onwards, you can enjoy a spectacular event in the festive garden of the Embassy, arranged in ‘Dutch style’ the national color of the Netherlands. The programme will consist of live music, DJ Bart van Dam, and other entertainment.
A number of food vendors will be present during the event which can offer you a diversity of dishes and snacks, all reasonably priced. This will also be an opportunity to try the rather famous Dutch ‘Bitterbal’, in case you haven’t tried it already. Cold Dutch beers will be provided by the Embassy’s generous sponsor Heineken.
The entrance fee for this memorable King's Event is 100 Thai Baht, including four drink coupons. Children up to 12 years can enter the event for free. Please bring your ID-card or passport; individuals who cannot identify themselves will not be let in. Please note that parking is not possible on the premises of the Embassy and guests are not allowed to bring their own food and beverages.
