On Saturday, June 18th 2016, “La Fête de la Musique” (or “Music Day”) comes back to Bangkok

The Embassy of France to Thailand, in partnership with Alliance Française Bangkok, collaborates with the Thai music industry to organize a free multidisciplinary festival where the audience will be able to enjoy many activities related to music. 

This event, the first one of the new year-long programming of La Fête, will take place at Alliance française de Bangkok, from 2 pm until midnight. It will showcase a rich program of activities designed to please the largest audience and to cater for the tastes of all age groups. 

The day will start with the screening of Eden, a feature film directed by French filmmaker Mia Hansen-Løve, followed by a discussion on the impact of digitization on the music industry with a panel of specialists who will share their views about this fast-changing market.

At the same time, workshops organized by Rockademy Thailand will allow the young audience (5 to 18 years old) to discover and/or develop their musical skills.

The highlight of the day will be at 7 pm with a series of 4 concerts given on the outside terrace by famous and promising Thai bands: my life as ali thomas, Jelly Rocket, Monomania and DCNXTR.

This event will promote music in all its forms and even the most innovating ones with a digital and interactive installation created by Pug-in Studio.

A small market will be open throughout the day to allow the public to eat, drink and discover plenty of products related to music.
